Can I open VS6 projects in VS7?

Can I open VS6 projects in VS7?
After the VS7 update, will I be able to open old VS6 project files?

Yes of course you can - be aware though that after you have opened them in X7 they will not re-open in X6 unless you specifically save as X6 project.
You can always open earlier version projects in later versions - but the reverse is not true unless you specifically save as an earlier version.

Just to expand on that comment, you can only save in a previous version format up to two versions behind i.e. with version X7, you can save as version X6 and X5' with X6 you can save as X5 and X4, and so on...... but the reverse is not true unless you specifically save as an earlier version.

And, if you are using 64 bit version of X7 and used the samples from the library then you will/ may receive a re-link request as files are stored in a different location.
