Locating Advanced (Audio) Editing in VS Pro X5???

Post by DayO »

I have spent the better part of two hours trying to locate the Advanced Editing feature for the audio track of a video in VS Pro X5--I want to apply Audio Filters to the audio track of a video...

Why is this essential option so damned hard to find and invoke in VS Studio Pro?

It gives credence to reviewers giving MINUS POINTS to this program for non-intuitive settings!

This is for VSX7, I assume X5 would be similar.
Right click on the music in the audio track and select Audio Filter alternatively, select the blue options tab

Thanks, RobertOZ, this is for straight audio, no music; will try this out...

If this procedure doesn't work for a VS Studio Pro X5 audio track, will re-post here shortly.

It seems you can only use Advanced (audio) Editing in VS Pro X5 by invoking the Split Audio command...

But then, there's seems to be no way to re-join the Audio Track to the Video Track after doing so. :?:

Providing the audio is still in sync, why would you need to.

The audio, in other words, is simply split out from the video track and appears -- still in sync -- in an audio track. You can thus apply the audio filters to it. But as RobertOz has just said, if that is all you are doing to it, there is no need to worry about it getting out of sync as it simply appears to be on another track, but is still perfectly lined up with the video part. (And in fact, it is only a virtual split. If you click on the main timeline track, you will see that in effect that audio there is only muted.)
