I have been running X5 for a couple of years with no particular issues other than a problem with opening the Corel Guide and missing tabs in the guide. With the help of people on this forum that was fully resolved.
I also ran the TBYB version of X7 64 bit but my 30 days was running out so I uninstalled it using the X7 clean-up tool available from on the forum (thank you Trevor) . I then downloaded the 32 bit version to trial that but am having an issue getting it to run. When I first clicked on the icon on my desktop I was asked to register by inserting my email address, this I did. However when I then tried to run the program I got an Error 38. Files damaged or modified, please reinstall your original source.I have uninstalled and reinstalled but I get the same error 38 again.
Suggestions please.
One other thing, I know that it is OK to run more than one version of VS but having downloaded and installed X& (albeit with an error 38 issue) I notice that the video section of the learn tab on my X5 Corel Guide only partially opens. There are small scroll bars so it is possible to scroll down to the bottom of the video but this only takes up about 1/3rd of the screen, the rest is white and blank and the icons that were on the bottom, Help was one, no longer appear.
Thoughts??
Regards
Paul

Re: VideoStudio X7 Error 38
Your 30 day trial period is over, irrespective of which version of VSX7 you use, the error you are getting, is Corels way of telling you that you now need to purchase the product.

Re: VideoStudio X7 Error 38
Thanks Robert
Seems fair, a slightly more user friendly way of notifying would have been more customer-centric. (is that a word or even two words?) error 38 just seems vague.
Anyway apologies for the delay in thanking you for the reply, life happened.
