Hello,
I have been trying to find out what DSLR cameras are supported by VideoStudio ProX6 for the Stop Motion feature. I would like to get my son one for his graduation.
I am unable to find any sort of list provided by Corel or on other posts.
If there is not a known list, would some of you tell me what you have used successfully?
I have some really good cameras, one a home/professional HD Panasonic video camera, but none of them are recognized by this one feature. Although they are recognized by all other features which is extremely frustrating. Not sure why this product requires a completely different camera for one feature; a feature that actually convinced me to buy the software, but it is not well documented as far as I can tell. It was not disclosed in the ad that convinced me, that is for sure.
Anyway, any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Trying to avoid making a purchase that will not work with the software.
Thanks!

Re: DSLR Cameras for Stop Motion? - ProX6
It is not VideoStudio that is the problem. What you need is a camera that will provide a live picture through USB all the time. Most cameras will download recorded photos but not supply a live one. That is why VideoStudio suggests a WebCam. Look for a decent HD webcam and set that up for your Stop Motion. I have used a Logitech webcam very successfully for Stop Motion.
I used to be indecisive. Now I'm not so sure.

You do not need a camcorder to do Stop Motion.mozocorelforum wrote:Hello,

I have a Canon EOS T3i DSLR camera and it can be used to do stop motion photo capture. I just did a quick test and was able to capture a seqnce of 10 images taken at an interval of 5 seconds.
VS X6 recognizes the camera as a DSLR camera and is able to control that camera - not all settings of course.
Here is a link to a Corel tutorial on the Stop Motion feature using a Canon camera http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mC88QA7xyyE
