Music Track

Post by Mrcoo »

I put 10 little films ahead to one film (about 1 min 14)... I also put a musictrack under the film. But some of my little films did also contain a form of music. I made that sound disappear, but since then the music track is stagnating at every start of a new little movie.

What can I do to let the music track play and not stagnate?

Is that during Preview, or after rendering to a new output file and playing that using a separate media player such as Windows Media Player?

That's during the preview. I don't even know how to let this file be played in Windows Media Player....

The Preview is not a good way to judge the final output. In most if not all cases, the video needs to be resized to fit the Preview window, and all of the assets need to be pulled together in realtime from multiple files, effects and transitions are applied etc., and this means that unless you have a very powerful PC, UVS will take some shortcuts somewhere in order to try to play the video in realtime.

If you have UVS 9, you can do a Preview from the Share tab, which will give you a more accurate idea of what the final output looks like. If you have an earlier version, the best way to do this is to use Share -> Create Video File, and then play the file using WMP. You can also turn off the Instant Preview and select the High Quality Preview in the Preferences, but this will result in a time consuming render every time you use Preview. I prefer to keep the Instant Preview, and create a new video file or use Share -> Preview if I want to see a more accurate version.
