Title Lower 3rd Templates?
Will the new Titler feature have lower 3rd templates like Adobe Premiere's?

That's all really nice, but I just paid for the MediaStudioPro 7.0/HD Plugin 2.0 product combo based on the very specific ulead website claims about support for HDV and the Sony HDR-HC1, and my experience is that
1. some of the claims are apparently not true, i.e. after great care and effort I cannot perform all of the steps described, and there are good indications that the output files from MSP7 are not valid, and
2. there is no effective support, e.g. it has taken a week to get a non-responsive reply, and my offers to provide examples of the good data into MSP7 and the garbage out from it have been completely ignored, and
3. no user here reports success with the HDV support that I am trying to use.
So, what I really want to know is, does the HDV support in 8.0 actually work? (And, of course, when will it be released?

Hi Tom,
I had been having very similar problems to yours with the HD plugin of MSP7. The HD project templates went away after SP3. I couldn't create HD transport streams directly. I had to render to mpg then convert to m2t. The m2t files had problems. I couldn't copy them back to the camera. When I tried to play them with VideoLan, it would cause VideoLan to crash.
I just downloaded the public beta of MSP8 and all of the problems I had been having in MSP7 are gone in MSP8. The HD templates are back. I can render transport streams directly from the timeline without having to go through the convert step. The transport streams copy back to the HC1 just fine. I also noticed that another problem appears improved also. Sometimes when I would trim a clip then put it on the timeline, the rendered video would have the trims displaced from where I made them. I opened a MSP7 project where that happened. Without changing anything, I rendered it using MSP8 and the trims were back where they belonged.
I'm quite pleased.
Now I'm hoping the upgrade path is reasonable for people would already had MSP7 + the HD plugin. The beta is good for 30 days. The press release said MSP8 would be available in October. I hope there's not too long of a gap between the time the beta stops working and 8 is available.
