Where are Titles Located in VSX7

Post by RobertOZ »

Having again uninstalled/reinstalled VSX7 I am trying to install Title Packs 7 & 8 from the 'Do More" tab, however I am getting the "The installed version cannot be determined " error,so, it's telling me that they are already installed but they are not there and I cannot find where in the program would be located if in fact they are installed. I can locate the downloaded Titles but cannot install them.
Any ideas where these titles would be installed, I cannot find any folders which contain Titles, i assume that they would be located with Font Packs 1,2,3 & 4 but I am unable to locate them either.

I added a new title to the title library and then searched my computer for files modified at that point in time - on my PC that came up with :-

C:\Users\Brian\AppData\Roaming\Ulead Systems\Corel VideoStudio Pro (x64)\17.0\en-US\VS_Title.dat

Incidentally - I do not have any title packs at all showing in the 'Do More' tab in X7 - but I did have them in X6 where they are showing as installed - so I just copied them from X6 into X7 so I have them all any rate.

Don't the font packs install to C:\Windows\Fonts ?

FOR REFERENCE

to move titles between versions

Open up the previous version - drag all the titles you want to transfer down into the timeline.

Save as a project (titles ?)

Open VSX7 - open project 'titles'

drag all the titles from the timeline up into the 'Titles' library

32bit titles from previous versions work in 64bit X7

Hi Robert

I have just downloaded and installed Title Packs 7 and 8 without problems, I don't know why you Brian do not see these available for download.
Mind you from past experience anything cam happen to the Corel Guide.
Each title pack added 10 extra clips to the library.
I have to say they do appear to be the same clips as installed using X6 with one of the info windows indicating X6. However they do definitely install to X7.

I now have 54 clips showing in my library. How many do you see, assuming you have not manually installed/moved titles?

By the way I am running the 32 bit version at the moment.

Finally resolved the problem, I deleted the Corel Downloads folder from C:ProgramData/Corel, I was then able to redownload and install the 2 packs so I now have the 54 templates again

Can you help me with the re installation of the title packs? I had one of the titles that I altered THAT KEPT cause a shutdown and I deleted the thumbnail. I would like to get it back. Preferably without deleting and re installing the whole Do More title packs.

Thanks!

Hi
I am assuming you only have X7 installed otherwise there may be duplicate files for other versions.

The downloaded title files are saved to this folder
C:\ProgramData\Corel\Downloads\

The files for X7 are called…………
DoMore_Title_07.exe
DoMore_Title_08.exe

Locate these files and run by double clicking the file.

The Program Data folder is hidden by the operation system, click Tools-Folder Options – View Tab -- Show Hidden Files and Folders

If the Titles do not show then you may have to reset the program by renaming the 17.0 file to 17.0old

There are 24 titles, adding 10 for each pack installed 54 in total.

If you have user defined titles that you wish to use
Create a new project add all titles and save the project.
These can be added later by dragging back to the library?

If you need a specific one let us know which one, maybe take a screen shot so we can compare?
