Any strong feelings about brands? Will be moving to a epson disc printer and buying a new stock of blank dvd-r's. I know this will somewhat limit availabily from different manufacturors.
Any feedback on quality?
Thanks

blank dvd-r discs - brand quality

Brands are difficult to judge because there are actually just a handful of media manufacturers, and the disks they produce are then sold under different brand names. The vendors who slap their names on the disks often use multiple sources.
What country are you in, and are you looking to pick disks up in a retail outlet, or order them through the Internet? The reason I'm asking is that inkjet printable media isn't as easily available in stores, when you do find it, the selection is usually limited to a single brand. If you are in the US, you can try Shop4Tech, they have great selection and good prices -- it's the source I use exclusively for all my media purchases.

I agree - I tried comp USA and they didn't have any. I have used Americal before and they carry discs at least one brand "Opto disc" at 34 cents ea. I am in US. I will also look at your suggested cite. I have used multiple brands with no apparant difference but I wasn't sure.

Take a look at the Prodisc DVD-R disks on the Shop4Tech site. I've used hundreds of them with my Epson R200 after burning them using a Sony DRU-510A and a Plextor PX-716A.
I prefer the silver ones for B&W designs, and white for color. Get the "hub printable / no stacking ring" versions, they permit you to use a larger area for creating a label or artwork.
