PROX4 - Change the location of files/folders
All of the folders and files keep defaulting to a folder in My Documents. I want to move them to another location on my computer. I have tried going into the File > Preferences > File Locations... and keep updating each file types but no matter how many times i do it the when the program starts back up again it creates all the folders again in My Documents and when I open up the file locations window they are all back in again with the new location I wanted to change it to.

I presume you mean the folders which are under 14 and include Brushes, gradients, plugins, picture tubes etc. These are the self made ones or the third party installed ones which would normally be saved in a backup when you save the whole of your My Documents / Documents folder.
Do you make a lot of tubes, brushes, scripts that would get save there or is there another reason for you wanting to have those saved in another area / external hard drive ?

Hi,
don't update but add the location you want to use. Then you can choose under "Save in:" this location, and this setting should be preserved.
I also tried to get rid of the locations in my Documents, but they keep reappearing. However, they are and will remain empty.
And because PSP is not the only software wanting to save all kind of stuff in "My Documents", I got fed up some time and moved "My Documents" to point to a folder I don't use at all. Now it's full of folders from Adobe, Lexware, Medion (the whole offline Help for the navigation device) and such, along with all the empty PSP stuff folders.
As to why I don't want the PSP folders under my Documents: that's because my documents should be what it says, documents, mostly really private. The whole photo collection along with articles, tutorials etc. is located and structured in a folder for image processing stuff. And I do want my own PSP stuff there too, also available for other users.
