I installed the demo version of X7 and did a comparison to X4 on the same ten second clip.
Source is H.264 MPEG-4 AVC, 1920x1080, 29.97fps, AC3 Audio.
I applied two filters:
A crop to 70% of the original size and the 'deblock' filter.
I saved both with these settings:
MPEG-4 Files
24 bits, 1920 x 1080, 30 fps
Frame-based
H.264 Main Profile Video: 15000 Kbps
44100 Hz, 16 Bit, Stereo
MPEG AAC Audio: 256 Kbps
My PC Specs
Core 2 Quad 2.83HGz
4GB ram
32-bit Windows 7.
X4 took 66 seconds. X7 took 196 seconds. Both files ended up at almost the identical size.
Any explanation? Is the demo somehow hobbled?
I like the look of the 'touch up' filter in X7, but using it alone on the ten second clip took 30 minutes.
X7 is slower than X4?
