Sound distorted

I recently upgrade from MF 3 to MF 4.0 (4.01), and have installed all applicable patches. I am creating a movie from an MPG file I created in Video Studio 9.0. The MPG is a slide show, but has been rendered into an MPG. The sound is fine when played on my home theater system, but is distorted when played on my PC or laptop. As I will be showing this movie at my parents 50th wedding anniversary using my laptop, I really need to fix this. I did not have this problem with MF 3.0.[/list]
