I have a DVD project that I completed and burnt off to DVD. Before I had the opportunity to burn a second copy my hard disk failed. I still want to create another copy.
On advice from Ulead, I have downloaded the trial version of MovieFactory4 and tried (so far without success) to create another copy of the project from one DVD onto a second DVD. My PC has one DVD writer and one CD-RW so I cannot directly copy from the source DVD and have to copy the files from the source DVD back to my hard drive first. The Disk to Disk option does not work for this process as it literally means disks (DVDs), and not a hard disk.
However I have created a copy of folders with extracts from the source DVD. The first contains.bup, .iof and .vob files, the second just a.ixb file. The total contents of each file match the size of the file on the source DVD. Is it possible to use files of this type to create my second DVD using MovieFactory4 and, if so, which option(s) do I need to use? Or do I need to use a PC which has 2 DVD R/Ws?
Any help/advice much appreciated.
Thanks

Just set the source and destination as the same drive (the dvdrw) and and the copy disk function will work just fine. You can actually use any dvd burning program to do this, like the one that came with your burner.Neil Bennett wrote: The Disk to Disk option does not work for this process as it literally means disks (DVDs), and not a hard disk.

Got your reply and tried it out. I knew the source DVD had to be copied somewhere but it wasn't obvious I could use specify the same source and destination drives. Anyway, it worked fine so thanks very much. After a week or two of head-scratching it's all resolved now.
Thanks again.
