screen capture quit working

I have PSP X4 running on Win7. The X4 screen capture has been working perfectly for months, then suddenly it won't work anymore. The rest of X4 works fine, and I go thru the screen capture motions with no trouble (as I always have), but the hotkey F10 does nothing. Weird.

Anyone else experience this? Could it be some kind of new security issue or something? Do I need to reinstall X4?

Reinstall should be a last resort.
First try and reset the program. First save your workspace if you have changed it a lot. File > Workspace > Save.

Then close and while holding the shift key down double click your PSP desktop icon to restart your program. A dialog box will pop up asking if you want to reset your program , accept . Then check and see if your screen capture is back again.

Does it work with the right mouse click as the instigator?

Are you working on a laptop where other functions may have been assigned to the F10 key.

Have you checked if another key will work try the F5 key as that seems unused.
You can check the Keyboard Map under the Help menu item to find what keys are being used.

Thanks, hartpaul. I was hopeful about your very reasonable suggestions, but holding shift and executing program did nothing - I got no prompt to reset the program, nor did the program launch. Is there another way to reset it? Is this the same as resetting Preferences to default? Tried that too with no luck.

Right mouse and F5 and F10 and F12 fail on screen capture. All used to work fine. I even tried running X4 "As Administrator" but still no screen capture.

I got the screen capture working again after I uninstalled and reinstalled X4. However, no hotkey works (F10, F5). Only the right-mouse click works.
