... when i open the exe file ...
What do you mean by that? Do you not have a VS icon on your desktop or on your START screen which you click on to open??? On the "Apps By Name" Screen, can you find the Corel Video Studio entry? If so, when you click on that what happens?

I have similar problem on Win 8.1 (32-bit). VSP X7 is being installed but at start it says that the program was not installed correctly, please try to remove and install it again (re-installation gives the same result)
Thank you

Hi Baali

Unfortunately there does seem to be several users having similar problems.
All seem to be using W8 and 32 bit whether that is relevant I don’t know.

Can you try running the program in W7 compatibility mode, I assume Windows 8 will allow this, right click the Video Studio desktop icon and choose properties, then Compatibility tab.

Corel do not often visit this forum, we are just like you, using Video Studio.

So you could try contacting Corel Support here :- https://www.facebook.com/corelsupportlearning?fref=ts

Or via Corel’s Support options from their web site.

Hi Whisper

Sorry you are having problems running Video Studio X7, so annoying…
Is that the trial version or have you purchased the program.?

Although there are a few users having problems I do not think we have any idea why this is happening, you are best to contact Corel Support or visit their facebook pages.
I gave links in an earlier post.

Have you been able to run the program successfully, or is this a problem from installation.?

You could try re-setting the program to its factory default.
For 64 bit version go to:-
C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Ulead Systems\Corel VideoStudio Pro (x64)\17.0
I assume that is the same location as used for Windows 7?
Rename the folder 17.0 to “17.0copy” or simply delete the folder.
Starting Video Studio should recreate the folder.
