How to turn off splash screen when VS CLOSES

I have found some posts on how to turn off the splash screen when VS STARTS but how do you stop the 'splash screen' displaying as VS shuts down?
I am talking about what appears to be an advertisement which also has a 'tick box' labled Do not display this message again and keeps reappearing even though I click on the tick box - very annoying. This is part of at least the last two versions.

I set the "do not ..." check box and have never seen the splash screen since then.

How did you "set the do not.." check box?

I have repeatedly (every time I use VS) moved the mouse pointer in the check box and pressed the left mouse button but it reappears next time.

VideoStudio does not display a splash screen on closing - it displays an information message based on your settings in the Corel Guide.

Open the Corel Guide and click on the two little gear wheels up in the top right corner - from the drop down choose "Messages preferences" - then click to uncheck "Keep me informed with the latest product related messages"

close the guide.

I knew there must have been something to set/unset rather than just check the check box.
