PSPX6 Service Pack 2 did not address nor resolve the problem with the Google Nik Collections. I tested Analog and Color Efex. Both caused a crash of X6.
Revisions made by Google Nik weeks ago seemed to have solved problems that were occurring in PhotoLine and PhotoPlus. The plugins run fine in those programs now.

Re: SP 2 doesn't solve plug-in problem
I wrote to Nik support concerning the crashes I was experiencing, gave them links to sites where users have complained about the same problem they encountered. Basically wanted to know if Nik is ever going to releases versions that are going to be compatible and I got this reply ...

Re: SP 2 doesn't solve plug-in problem
I beg to differ as I have PSPX6 and use Nik with the 32bit version without any problem at all.
Here's what I did. Nik Software came with PSPX5 so it is installed in PSP main directory - C:\Program Files (x86)\Corel\Corel PaintShop Pro X5\PlugIns\EN\Nik Software.
I open PSPX6, File, File Locations and direct it to where Nik is installed. The link will show in Files Locations. Click OK.
The filters will show in X6 list of plugins in 32 bit only.

Re: SP 2 doesn't solve plug-in problem
I upgraded from PSP X3 to X6 and experienced identical crashes when running Nik plugins that aren't compatible. No problems seeing the names of the plugins just that some of them just repeatedly crash on loading
eg: Analog Efex Pro, Color Efex Pro 4 and HDR Efex Pro 2. You are very lucky to be able to run all these coz there have been others with similar problems http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php?f=56&t=51492

Re: SP 2 doesn't solve plug-in problem
Just as an FYI, the version that came with PSPX5 was Nik Color Efex 3. This version does work with PSP X6. The newer version, Color Efex 4, does not play nice with PSP. There is a workaround that may help you. See this discussion http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php?f=56&t=51492
Hope this helps.
