VideoStudio X7 hangs after Album Transition
I just upgraded to the Ultimate X7 and was working on some home movie projects. One project is a slide show with a few pictures. I add the only album transition they have for about every 6 to 8 pictures. When I play the project it plays fine until the second image after the transition, then the UI freezes while it play three more images then everything freezes in X7. Using the task manager I end the process because it has stopped responding and when I open it back up it will recover the project. Other transitions seem to work fine. It is just the album transition I have a problem with. Any Ideas?

Re: VideoStudio X7 hangs after Album Transition
Unfortunately, there have been inexplicable glitches with the Album transition for quite a number of versions -- though they only seem to affect a few users, not everyone. In fact, there used to be quite a few Album transitions, but with increasing problems with them, Corel decided to reduce them to one...
That being said, without previewing the project, can you do a quick render to a new video file. Does that display the same problem?
How long do you wait before using Task Manager? I ask because I have learned over the years with successive versions of VS to be patient. Sometimes it appears that the program has hung, and if I click buttons to try to do something else, it will often hang permanently, necessitating use of the Task Manager. But if I wait a few seconds longer -- even up to a minute or so in some cases -- I find that the program usually unsticks itself and you can proceed. I also find that even if previewing a project in Project Mode is jumpy or erratic, it usually will render into a new video without the glitch. Not satisfactory, I know, but I guess I have become used to it, and it doesn't happen all the time with all formats -- usually only with the demanding AVCHD format.
