VideoStudio problems installing plug ins on 64 bit

Post by Valmir »

Hi,
Long before a wish list for the X8, I would like the newly X7 64bit to function properly.

I´ve using VideoStudio from the X3 to the X6 version... and I was anxious to use the new 64bit X7 Ultimate version.
what a decepcion !!

In the previous versions I've installed additionally... BURGER TRANSITIONS... and... ADORAGE 1 to13, to increase the power of VSP.
Adorage was in fact suggested by Corel in the section DO MORE of VSP X5.

BUT... in the X7 64bit, BURGER AND ADORAGE ICONS do not appear in the Filter and Transitions as they appeared in the X5 and X6 versions,
even though I've made the same procedures as I did before for the previous versions,
namely, to copy the files...adorage.vfx, burge1.vfx, ... burger23.vfx to the Vfx_plug folder.

I've tried 3 times, intalling and uninstalling the X7 64bit... and also installing the Adorage-30-service64bit
but, nothing was good!

So, I tried the X7 32bit version and things were too much different.
The Adorage icon appeared normally in the Filter section and the Burger in the transisiton section
(after I've coppied the Vfx_plug files)
(Adorage didn't have appeared on the transitions section).
And the resources have beeen in full action!

Is the X7 64bit not compatible with Adorage ands Burger ??? (I tried even the 64bit version of Adorage... and it failed).

May You know how to make Adorage and Burger to function on the 64bit X7 ??

There is a difference on the folder structure of the 64bit and 32bit...
32bit version is installed on the C:\Programs Files (x86)...
whereas 64 bit goes to the C:\Program Files folder

Best Regards,

Valmir

It is not that VSX7 is incompatible, but rather the 3rd party plugin providers do not have 64 bit installers for Corel, New Blue are currently working on providing 64 bit installers so contact the providers of the plugins you want to install and ask them when their 64 bit installers will be available.

There is a difference on the folder structure of the 64bit and 32bit...
32bit version is installed on the C:\Programs Files (x86)...
whereas 64 bit goes to the C:\Program Files folder
That is the correct placement for all 32 bit and 64 bit programs, not just Video Studio...

The 64 bit plugin for Adorage is now available from their web-site. I believe you need to buy "collection" 13 in order to get the plug-in. I hope this helps with the "pain".
