Trial version of X3

Hi all,

I installed the old version (TBYB) of X3 on a new computer, for which I had purchased a license. As has been mentioned elsewhere, the old version won't activate. I downloaded the current TBYB from Corel to see if maybe that would work. However, it remembers information about the old trial, and I get the server not found error. Does anyone know where in the registry that information is kept, or conversely which keys I can copy over from my old computer to make it think it's registered? I hate to pay $30 for something I already own. I would consider upgrading to something else, but most editors now are more like Photoshop (not object oriented like X3).

I would recommend doing a full registry clean of PhotoImpact. Restart your PC and try to install again.

Thanks for the reply. As far as the full registry clean, are there a list of keys, or are you recommending a registry cleaner tool? If so, which one?
