Hi,
I've had the same Problem.
X6 was on my Computer. I deinstalled X6. I wanted to install x7. Then the error came. I tried the x4, x5 and x7 cleanup tool and checked manually the registry. I started Windows in secure mode and tried. Then the error 1719 "Windows installer Service could not be accessed..." and the x7 error message. I activated the Windows installer process. No success.

Then I found the solution:
I installed again X6.
The I could install X7.
After that I deinstalled X6 again....

X7 needed the X6 Installation (or maybe no further Installation). I think: if you ever installed videostudio so you have to left the old Version and deinstall it after Installation of the new Version...

Thank you! I have wrestled with re-installing X7 after a failed install for days! This the trick, finally!

I spent what seemed like hours trying to clean the registry and still was getting nowhere.

Corel have provided a Cleanup file for X7.
The file has not been used before so I guess you are confirming that it does actually work.
First delete the Setup folder from
C:\Program Files (x86)\Corel\Corel VideoStudio Ultimate X7 Setup Files

Run the Cleanup file…attached below

Then run the installation file again as Administrator

Your feedback would be appreciated………

I hope this does help.

CVS X7 installation problem

Post by theamir001 »

Hello all,

I have the exact same problem .

My computer :
Windows 7 Ultimate (last updates done)
Cpu Intel Core -i7-3930
64Gb RAM
Hdd 4Tb
Graphic card : Nvidia GeForce GTX 570

CVS installed on C: disk
X5 no problem (working without any problem)
X6 no problem for installation but can't update SP1 (working without any problem)

My problem = X7 can't install anyway
it says : "Installation Wizard not completed.
Your system has not been modified. To complete installation at another time, please run setup again. Click Finish to exit the wizard”

I've also tried the VSX7_Cleanup.zip without succes seen here : http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php ... 30#p292890

It is really confusing me now!

From that time is there any solution?

PS : all version are trial and downloaded from Corel web site http://www.videostudiopro.com/en/free-trials/

Hi Everyone,
I just downloaded the trial version of Corel Video Pro X7. I followed install instructions. I am on Windows 8.1.
When loading the application I am prompted to register. I enter my email address and receive a confirmation email that my trial version has been registered.
Once complete the application just sits on a Corel splash screen going no further. This process continues to happen with each time the application is loaded it wants registration details and I receive another email to confirm registration.

I checked and installed a service pack as per advice from a KB I saw. No difference.

Then went to uninstall/reinstall just in case a corrupt file may have been installed. Still same issue.

Everytime the register screen comes up however splash screen goes no further for each product 'corel video studio', 'corel screen capture', 'corel fast flick'.

Went into safe mode with networking and tried the full install in that mode. Received error "error 1719. windows installer could not be accessed. contact support personel to verify its properly registered and enabled". Could be safe mode however this was a suggestion for install issues. Checked WMI and that is fine.

At moment just waiting for advice from Corel via a support call. Its an excellent product and have been using Pro X4 on windows vista PC so was hoping to use new version on new windows 8.1. Will read through advice on this blog but just acknowledging that I to have had issues installing. Not sure what it is.

This is a follow up as to a problem which I had with VS 7 it would install, but I could not get either version x86 or x64 to open . kept getting error message. Finally after fooling around with x86 version got it to work compatibility mode.
Tried x64 version could not get it to open, error message as mentioned in earlier post. Finally decided to contact Support, and after few attempts a 2nd support guy did remote support connection and installed VS7 pro x64 in SAFE MODE
and it is working fine.( I thought I had tried the safe mode method one time and got my same error; maybe I didn't do it right way) So if this may help anybody good luck.

Well, unfortunately you were right. Even Quicktime Pro will not either play it or convert it to another format, showing an error for every format selected. It did export as individual png images for each frame, but these were all white.

Curiously enough, it played perfectly on VLC player. And Google tells me it will play on Windows if you have FFDShow on the computer, which I don't.
