Howdy,
Been a while, but just purchased VS Ultimate X6 and it's a bit of a jump from VS11+ so I have a few questions:
1) Apparently Ultimate it's supposed to have a bunch of extra effects etc. over the trial version of Pro X6 I was trying. I just didn't really see any extra content that seemed different than the Pro X Version. Is there a patch, fix or extra download to get them? Even the startup icon and start menu items indicates Pro X6, but it is the Ultimate version when the application starts running.
2) I like the motion tracking, but not aware of it's potential. Can you attach an FX to the motion tracking like fisheye or one of the others?
3) Is there a way to keep the Corel FX Pinch effect static instead of growing and moving around once I've set it.
Thanks for the help, I'm sure I'll need more getting to know the bells and whistles..
Cheers,
Max

Re: VS Ultimate X6 Help.
There is no difference at all in the actual VideoStudio programme between the Pro and Pro Ultimate programmes - it's all in the extras.
If you purchased the disc version there should have been two discs - you must download all the second disc to get the effects.
If you purchased the download version there are two distinct downloads - forget the actual sizes at the moment but the second is just a bit smaller than the first - you need to download that as well and install all of it.
You can certainly attach object (pointers , rings etc.) in the track motion window - I have never tried an FX would need to check it out before I could be positive one way or the other.
After you apply any FX to a clip you need to set it all up yourself - with the clip highlighted open the 'options' panel and choose "Customise filter" - you will then be presented with a dialogue window where you can set what that effect does throughout the length of you video by setting and/or adding key frames - by default there is one at the beginning and one at the end which are set differently - you must set both ends of the FX

Re: VS Ultimate X6 Help.
Thanks Brian, that information is very helpful and I didn't see a second download, only the one. I'll check once again. It would be nice to know if FX can be used in conjunction with the track motion option.

Darren
