Smart Package cannot proceed

Trying to make a Smart Package and get the following error

The Timeline contains one or more VideoStudio project file clips
Smart Package cannot proceed

Can anyone explain what this means and is there a way to correct the error

Have you included a whole project file (*.vsp) in the timeline? If so, it is called 'nesting' but you cannot SmartPackage a nested project since the nested .vsp is not video in its own right. It is a small text file pointing to what video is in that project and what has been done to it. However, since that video is probably located outside the SmartPackage you are trying to create, VS won't go any further.

Thanks Ken, so I should render those project vsp files, save to computer, delete the existing vsp files in my project and replace them with the rendered files, hopefully there will not be too much quality loss.

If you render them using the same properties as the original files, there shouldn't be any noticeable degradation of quality, particularly if they are high def to start with...
