Blank White Screen at End of Video with Audio

How do I do that?

click on the little flower icon beside the preview window - library pane opens

if not already on color - change the drop down at the top to color

drag the black block down from the library into the timeline

set it's duration just as you do with a photo

Ok, I eliminated the ending clip and replaced it with the black box. The black box does appear, but then in the last frame the white screen appears once again. So I guess that means it's not the clip that's causing the problem. Once again, even with the black box, the video ends one frame short of the very end (see attached). Maybe it's something with the audio. Why are there vertical lines on the audio? It's all just one wav file that hasn't been cut up at all.

The vertical lines and the repeated name indicates that your audio track is not just one piece - looking at your earlier full screen image it looks as though the audio is three separate sections.

I can also see from your screen shot that you appear to have 12 overlay tracks open - do you need that many - are you using them somewhere ?

Is there anything in overlay tracks 1 to 8 which are hidden in your screen shot - can you either hide some of the overlay tracks using "Track manager" or click on "Show all active tracks" and then see if anything is in any other track

The show all tracks icon is here - the track manager is the icon next to it.

Thank you, let me look into it. I know I used a lot of overlay tracks during various parts of the video. I'm very surprised about the audio track, I don't know how it could have been split up accidentally since I didn't do it on purpose. I wonder if I delete this track and re-import it as one single wav file would that help?

I'm not near my home computer right now. Let me get back to you tomorrow with screen shots etc thank you for all suggestions.

Looks like I used 12 overlay tracks. I used them for different lyrics and effects. They occur at different places throughout the video. Probably not the most efficient method, but I reached the results I wanted....except for this last frame. When I get some time later tonight or tomorrow, I will try re-importing the audio wav file and let you know what happens.

You can use just one overlay track over and over again throughout the video - there is no need to have an overlay for each effect.

The only times you need multiple overlay tracks is if you want items to overlap each other so that a number are onscreen at the same time.

I haven't given up, still trying some stuff. Was away from my computer for a couple of days.
