minimise image in X5 workspace

In my previous version (X) I could minimise an image in the workspace and as I worked on the images a bar would stak up on the bottom of the screen representing each image that had been minimised.I could then go back to any of these bars and either max or close each image.The close facility is easy to see in X5 (top left) or file-close but I cannot see a way to minimise an image to achieve what I have described above.

Are you using tabbed documents? Check the menu Window/Tabbed documents. If it's checked your open files are arranged in tabs and you can work only one in your workspace at a time. And you can't minimize. If you click to uncheck it, you'll get the 'old' multiple document workspace and you'll be able to arrange and minimize the images like you're used to.
If that doesn't work, I hope someone else has an idea.
