change toolbar etc font size and sliders

Post by 1066 »

Hi, can anyone tell me how to change a) the font and size on the toolbars and image names - I don't want to alter Windows but they are too small for me especially with the strange grey on grey background (where did the pale blue go?). b) the gallery slider bar - it is so narrow I can't pick it up with my arthritic mouse control!

You are limited with customisation in PSP. You don't say which version you are using.

Go to View, Customise. When the dialogue window opens you can do you own customisations. Larger icons but you can't change the fonts. I think the font is far too small in PSP.

You can make your own toolsbars and add icons to it. Here's a tutorial that may help you. Context Menus and Toolbars

Thanks - yes it's a real pain for me (literally!) X6 is worse than ever! the thin slider below the gallery scroll is impossible for me to pick up and the font is so tiny I can't see which file I'm trying to grab! - good hint about the icons tho - ta!

I am so frustrated by the size of the font and menu options in PSP X8. I have an older version (X.2) installed on my previous laptop and the readability is so much better. I can barely read the names of the layers and the ruler tic marks are unbelievably small it makes my head hurt to try to decipher them.

I loved the older version that I had and I even tried to install it onto my newer hybrid Samsung by copying it to a flash drive and then onto the Samsung but the program won't let me saying it has to be installed from the original media. My original version came on a CD and there is no drive for my newer computer. Plus, I've probably reached the limit of the amount of computers it can be installed on. I had it on an old desktop and then my laptop.

I'm not even trying to get around buying a newer version because I'd gladly pay for X8 if I found the readability better. I just can't see spending money on something that is going to make me squint and rub my temples.

I see the original posts for this thread are kind of old. Has there been any tricks or tips found on how to enlarge the font?

Glad to find this thread and found that I'm not the only one have this problem.

I've post my issue with PSP2018 vs my original PSP X4 here:

http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php?f=56&t=62177

Since newest PSP 2018 can set different ICON/SCROLL BAR size now, I can't understand why the interface's text font size cannot be adjustable ?
