Signature on each picture.
Hi All,
How do i make and save a signature that i would like to add to the bottom right hand corner to all my pics? Do want to have to actually sign each manually.

Re: Signature on each picture.
If you create an image of your signature you can use the Visible Watermark function.
The visible watermark function lets you take one image and overlay it on top of another image. You can decide if you want it on a corner, in the middle, if you wan it to repeat, if it needs to be translucent. Lots of options.
It's found under Image -> Watermarking -> Visible Watermark.
----------
It's very easy to do this as you're working on each image. If, however, you want to do whole batches at once that is also possible. Just record a script.
1) Make sure the Script toolbar is visible. You can do this by going View -> Toolbars -> Script
2) Open an image to place the watermark on.
3) Once the image is open hit the red record button on the script toolbar.
4) Run the "Visible Watermark" function on the image and hit OK to accept the change.
5) Hit the "Save" button on the script toolbar. It'll ask you to give the script a name - give it something identifiable.
6) Go ahead and close the image you just edited. You can keep the edits or throw them away it doesn't matter.
7) Select File -> Batch Process
Make sure "use Script" is checked in the dialog that pops up. As well as "Silent mode" If you turn silent mode off then the visible watermakr command will run for each image. Best to leave silent mode on.
9) Select your script from the drop down menu.
10) Select "Copy" from the Save mode if you just want to use their normal format. This will prevent it from overwriting the originals.
11) Click the Browse button to add images to process.
12) Hit Start to run the script on all of the images in the Batch. It should save the images as copies of the original.

FWIW, I recently scanned my signature and saved it as a transparent PNG. Works fine.

1.Grab some white paper.
2.Use a large broad texta pen to draw your signature.
3. Scan it into your PSP and promote to a full layer (Layers > Promote Background layer)
4. Use your magic wand and select on RGB and untick Contiguous. This will select your black signature.
5. Optional: Selections > Modify > Expand use 1-2 pixels . (This will attach a white outline to your black signature allowing it to stand out even against a black background.)
6. Selections Invert. Hit delete Key. Selections > Select None.
7. You now have your signature on a transparent background .
8. You can use the Pick tool to rotate if you wish and then crop to include just your signature.
9. Save As and select .png. Save into a folder in a place you can locate (I leace a folder labelled watermarks on my desk top.
To use go to Image> Watermarking > Visible watermark, browse to your folder and select your watermark then use the dialog box to select wher it goes.

Re: Signature on each picture.
Do you have a scanner? If so you can simply sign a piece of paper, and scan that into PSP using your scanner software.
If you don't, then just make an image, and then sign your name with your mouse. And save the image somewhere on your computer. Make sure you know where though because you'll need that image later when you create your script.

Re: Signature on each picture.
Do you have a scanner? There are many on the market, some quite cheap. I have four: a large Canon requiring its own power brick; a lighter Canon which is far more portable and gets power off a computer's USB connection, and an actually mobile/portable scanner, though its uses are more limited. My big Brother colour laser multifunction printer also has a scanner function.
Anyway, with a scanner connected you your computer, put the piece of paper where you have made your signature into it. Then in PSP (which should recognise the scanner) you select Import > From Scanner or Camera, and proceed from there as indicated by hartpaul... It's actually pretty easy!

Re: Signature on each picture.
If it is not your actual signature that you want, then you can use an appropriate text font to type in your name and use that. You can search for and obtain some neat looking fonts that look like running writing / signature styles. Lucida Handwriting comes to mind.
It may be a watermark that you have in mind rather than a signature. (Reading your original, it seems more like you are wanting a watermark).

More information please. What version of Paintshop pro are you using?
There are a lot of text tutorials on you tube that will show you how to use the text tool.
Some are:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vYbMj_gfWNc
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gnw3U1iwMYc
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RbmwHE-rrG4
Just do a google search on Paintshop pro text tutorial and you will find lots to help you.
There is also a free Beginners Workshop forum where you can slowly go through a series of learning tutorials under the guidance of mentors at:
http://bw-forums.com/
The first lesson there shows you how to do a screen capture and crop the image,
Lesson 2 shows how to use text to make a watermark and convert it to a Picture tube that can then be pasted anywhere on your photos.

Re: Signature on each picture.
Hi Barb
This is quite easy to do. Here is a tutorial that explains step by step how to create a signature / watermark. You simply make it a Psp Picture Tube and it's available at any time.
Although the tutorial was written for PSPX6, it is fine to create in any version. Watermark-Signatures
Sorry, I put the wrong link for the tutorial. It's okay now.
The pinned thread at the top Free PSP BW Workshop will teach how to do this too.

Re: Signature on each picture.
You could use the marker pen to sign your name on a transparency - save as a png and then insert when needed.
You will find the pen at the bottom of tool options.
