Ding-Dings on fresh install on new laptop?

Here is a strange one, purchased new laptop yesterday and did a fresh full install of X6. At first look, all seems wonderful so much faster and smoother, however I get a lot of those annoying "ding-dings", like error noises, sometimes while working. Seems erratic and not (so far) affecting any work, but highly annoying! Any thoughts on this one?

New laptop tuns Intel i5 processor and Windows 7 Professional.

Do you have a camera or external hard drive attached to the computer when you hear those noises? A 'ding ding' to me sounds more like an external drive connecting or disconnecting than an error sound...

Nope, nothing. Your exactly right too, I just went through that with my old laptop so I purchased a new one !!! Perhaps this house is haunted by the ghost of connecting drives...

Does it only happen when you run VS X6?
Do you have the Window sound alerts enabled or disabled?

Yes, only with X6, I will check my alerts...
