I just received an email from Corel offering VS X7 Ulitimate for $79.99 and X7 Pro for $59.99. Both are upgrade prices. The offer ends March 4 at midnight.

Has anybody actually used X7 yet? Do you see a significant difference in processing speed using the 64 bit architecture? How was using the other new features?

In other words, I am wondering if I should be in a hurry to pre-purchase the software before the March 4th deadline... Thought or comments?

I notice that Amazon UK is offering X7 Pro for £59.99 and X7 Ultimate for £79.99 (I assume this is a box with the software on DVD) for delivery in a few weeks. If I read the Corel site correctly the only difference I could see between Pro and Ultimate is an additional 11 New Blue Effects. £20 seems like a lot for 11 effects or am I missing something.

What say you?

Just saw another post about a pre-order on amazon UK so I checked my amazon, and they have X7 available for immediate download. This probably wouldn't work for most users here because they would probably wait for the upgrade price from Corel. But if all you've got is a trial...

Yes, you are, the Ultimate version has a bonus pack (approx 1.5GB) comprising, proDAD Handscript, proDAD Mercalli 2.0, proDAD Vitascene 2.0, proDAD Rotopen, New Blue Colorfast, New Blue Essentials package 1 and Boris Graffiti 6.0, a considerable package of extras for the additional cost.
