Changing Project Properties
I am a new user of VS Ultimate x 6 and have a question about setting/changing the Project Properties. I recently put a video together w/ 720p & 1080p clips and I enabled Smart Proxy (480p) so I could review the work in Low-Rez. Now I want to share the project as an MP4 file in 720p (save it so I can burn DVDs), but the Project Properties is set to 480p and can't be changed (in Project Options the frame size is 480p & "User-defined" is grayed out). How do I change this so I can render the project in 720p?

Re: Changing Project Properties
Hi
Welcome to the forums
The only option required to set in project properties is using widescreen 16:9 or 4:3.
The program defaults to widescreen 16:9, Corel do need to address this and allow HD settings for Project Properties, however it is not a problem for you.
Simply ignore the project properties.
As your video will be widescreen 16:9 they will display correctly in the preview screen.
Are you referring to burning a Standard dvd or Bluray disc.?
To burn a standard DVD you have to create a Mpeg2 DVD compliant file.
It is that type that is used to burn a dvd, it is pointless creating a MP4 file.
The frame size for DVD is 720 x 480 that is the industries standard for NTSC in the US
Two options….
Share Create Video File DVD will create a suitable file, you can play that to check quality, then use the file to burn a DVD without further conversion.
Share Create Disc – DVD will open the burner module, the final render process Convert Title will create the Mpeg2 file, using that to burn a DVD

Re: Changing Project Properties
As Trevor has already explained, Project Properties in these high res days is basically only relevant regarding 4:3 or 16:9, or unless you try to use Share > Create Video File > Same As Project Properties.
In your case, since you want to produce a 720p (i.e. 1280 x 720 fully progeressive) video, you would not use "Same As Project Properties". So just ignore that. Instead, when you have done your editing, you select Share > Create Video File > AVCHD and select the 1280 x 720p option in the dropdown menu.
