FWIW, the lensfun database has crop factor of 1.534 instead of 1.5. If you want, you can change the multiplier above to 1.534 but you also need to change your camera's multiplier to 1.534 or ASP will not pick it up.

Also FWIW, I think the distortion correction is too aggressive along the edge. More edge is lost than the camera's OOC JPEG.

Thanks a lot for posting this! Especially the hint about the crop-factor; ASP simply doesn't show the lenses if the crop-factors don't match!

I agree wiith your assessment that the correction isn't perfect... Maybe I'll play around with the factors later and if I get something better, I'll post it here - unless you/someone else already improved the factors?

I know that this is an old thread, but I'm catching up. As far as I can see in ASP2 with Sony A-mount cameras, crop-frame cameras (factor 1.5) list lenses with factors for both crop frame and full frame (factor 1.0), as they should since 1.5 cameras can use 1.0 lenses.

Full frame cameras list only FF factor lenses. Really this is a mistake in implementation by Corel since FF bodies can use crop frame lenses in crop mode.

[This is after I corrected all the mistakes in factors (and lens groups, and other things) in the ASP2 lens profile listings. I noted this in a Bugs thread.]

E mount may be different, although it shouldn't be. E bodies can use FE lenses. FE bodies can use e lens in crop mode.

I don't have an e-mount, so I haven't worked through the ASP2 profile system for e-mount. There ar eobvious errors, though such as listing A7 as with crop frame factor. At a minimum e-mount profiles would use a different lens id system (or not distinguish lenses), since e-mount uses different maker notes or exif tags for lens id from a-mount. (Recent a-mount lenses and bodies write additional lens id tags plus the original lens type tag from 30 years ago, but ASP2 still uses only that original tag location for a-mount.)
