Manual tagging in PaintShop Pro X6

Post by papabach »

Hi,

I have had good success with tagging people in photos using the "scan folder" option, but I have some folders with lots of photos containing many people and I only need to tag a small number of people. Using the "scan folder" option will be very inefficient so I'm trying to add the people tags manually. The user guide says:
To tag people manually
Manage workspace
1 In Preview mode, select the photo that you want to tag.
2 Under the People tab in the Info palette, click Tag Person.
However, the "Tag Person" button is grayed out. Any suggestions for what I'm missing?

Thanks

In Manage, check the "location" of the folder you are using. As far as I can tell the folder has to be in Collections and not Computer.

Click on Collections and under Folders select "Browse more folders" and add the folder from which you want to add people. You can add a folder higher in the hierarchy (lower in the trunk?) that contains your sub-folder. Select the image you wish to add and right-click - you should now be able to add that person.
