Unable to open transferred working folder
I have a folder that has 9.35 GB of video files in it which have been used to store Video Studio X5 ultimate (now completed) project files as my working folder. Properties tell me the folder has 13 folders and 95 files in it. I have double clicked and right clicked the folder but it won’t open. It was transferred via an external drive from my old XP PC. I can however, import files in it into VS via “Import Media files”

Re: Unable to open transferred working folder
Hi Ken
I don’t know why that folder wont open especially as you can insert the files to X5
A little strange.
From the files you have inserted into VS, I assume the library.
Right click a clip and choose Locate on Computer….does that open the folder?
If yes view the address bar to see the location of that folder.?

The second instance of Video Projects was highlighted

Re: Unable to open transferred working folder
Hi Ken
If you now use Windows Explorer to view your G Drive can you locate those folders.
Seems a little strange to have the duplicated folders, but that’s what it reads like, three in all.
Post notifications
I have viewed your preferences via your profile and it seems to be set correctly.
At the bottom of this post are the words “Subscribe Topic” or “Unsubscribe topic “
Make sure it shows as “Un-subscribe topic”
If that is set then you should be getting the notifications.
Check your BT Yahoo Mail, view the “Spam” folder to see if your notifications are being stopped there?
If yes either mark as Not Spam or Move to Inbox
Hope that helps

Re: Unable to open transferred working folder
Hi Ken
Same as transferring the files from the external drive.
I would rename the third folder, the one that contains the files to read My Video Projects
Then move that folder to the root G:\ drive. Or maybe the C:\ Drive (Copy and Paste)
Check the contents as ok----Then delete the Video Projects folder/s
