Can't Drag & Drop to PSP X6

Post by RayTheRat »

I'm running Windows 8.1 on a dual hex-core box with 64 gig ram, PSP X6 and several versions of ACDSee. Until I rebooted the box today I was able to drag an image from ACDSee into PSP and edit it. I'm aware of the "Run as Administrator" issues with this process, but PSP isn't run that way. I've created my own QuickLaunch bar with icons (shortcuts) for various programs I use frequently. (I don't like 8.1, so I'm running Stardock s/w to create a desktop/interface more like W7.

I've tried running PSP from my QuickLaunch, from the Program/Start Menu and by double-clicking the application program from Windoze Explorer. None of these methods have brought back the Drag & Drop. I'm a freelance photographer and web designer and I've been using this process for years with many different versions of PSP and I don't want to change my workflow to open an image file from File|Open in PSP, although that method DOES result in the file getting opened, but if I wanted to play games with menus, I'd use PhotoShop.

Looking for some help,
RayTheRat

After last night's Windoze updates, the drag & drop is back again. My first thought would be, "Oh. The reboot fixed it."...except that I'd done that several times.

Maybe I shouldn't be trying to edit those photos of the "Extraterrestrial Highway" (Nevada state route 375) that I shot last week. :)
