Manual included?

Post by vsharrison »

I have purchased VS8 -- am awaiting its arrival. Does a paper manual that you can actually hold in your hand come with it or is it just on the CD? Thanks.

If you bought a physical box, yes, Ulead includes a mnaual with that. Where did you buy it from? Current version is 9.

Got it from newegg. It's an upgrade. I knew that 9 was current, but figured at least 8 should have the bugs worked out! Thanks for the reply.

Actually, UVS 9 in its original as-of-yet unpatched form seems to have fewer issues than UVS 8 with its patches. It also has more features. I would seriously consider upgrading.

Yeah, like Dolby AC3 audio! There was an extra-cost AC3 plug-in available for VS8. I'm not sure if it's still available.

Yes the Dolby Plug-in for VS8 is still available, you may check at asiapac.ulead.com

And I agree, VS9 has lesser bugs than VS8, VS8 has serious AV sync problem (when the pacth is installed).

How could Newegg help you upgrade to version 8 when for the same amount of money you could upgrade to version 9?

Were they trying to get rid of leftover v.8 upgrades -- giving a sharp discount? If not, you should complain. Version 9 is more fun to work with.
