where are files located in Win 8.1 on hard drive?

As anyone got a list of where all files are located in Win 8.1?
Trying to find the audio music files that come with x4 but would also like to know where other files are located on the hard drive, such as menu's and graphics.

I don't know about Win 8.1 but in Win 7 they are located at :- C:\Program Files (x86)\Corel\Corel VideoStudio Pro X4\Samples\Audio

Unless you mean the downloaded Bonus content which you will find at :- C:\Users\username\Documents\Corel VideoStudio Pro\Bonus Content

I would think win 8.1 would be very similar

Also if the clips are in the library, some allow right click and Locate on Computer.

What menu templates are you referring to ?

DVD Menus here:- C:\Program Files (x86)\Corel\Corel VideoStudio Pro X4\Content\Menu Template

X4 Downloaded - Instant Project templates Here:- C:\Users\User Name\Documents\Corel VideoStudio Pro

Later Video Studio versions save here:- C:\Users\Trevor\Documents\Corel VideoStudio Pro\VSPTemplate

I am using Windows 8.1 and VS Ultimatex6 and the sample audio are located as described below=

C/Program Files/Corel/Corel Video Studio Ultimatex6/Samples/Audio
Just right click on the Audio Sample files in the library

What do you see in the library, using X4 from the samples library I have 28 Images, 26 Video and 40 Audio clips?
I am guessing you see only a few (2-4)

Did you purchase the download version or the disc version.?
The download version may have been provided as two/three files, one for the main program and the second to complete the installation by providing extra content.
The installation file would have been about 830Mb with the Content at 450Mb.
If this is the case then you have to install the Content pack. (VSX4_Content.exe)

If your installation file is 1.3Gb then it should contain all files (installation and content.)

There was an additional third file VSX4_Pro_Bonus.exe, that contained extra samples, available as a download for later versions from the Do-More section.

What installation files do you actually have?

Thanks for reply, I had CD's from Corel, first the X4 Pro and then later the ultimate. I have just upgraded my computer which has Win 8.1 ( ) driving me mad. I installed the X4 Pro first which I don’t think installed correctly, now I have installed the Ultimate version the file numbers are as you mention.

I wanted to use smart sound tracks but that was greyed out, I was going to upgrade my X4 to X6 thinking that would solve the problem, but luckily I did a search on the User Board and found that Smart Sounds does not work on Win 8.1, so it look's as though I will have to wait for the next release. I had an email offering reductions to upgrade to X6, so the new release may be out in the near future.

FWIW Alan, X6 certainly works with SmartSound under Win 8.1 -- at least on my set-up. (Just tested it.) FYI I only recently installed 8.1 on a rebuilt computer with inter alia a new and totally clean hard disk. It was a clean install of 8.1, not an upgrade from Win 8...

it may be worth upgrading then, if I don't upgrade now from X4 to X6 I think I will have to pay full price for the next release.
