Is this function available in PSP X6?
I want to create a single photo using multiple images of a model in different positions from multiple shots. Layer masking is used in Photoshop but I do not own nor will I rent that software due to expense. Just wondering if PSP can achieve this effect. It's being referred to as 'multiplicity'.

Yes. Using Layers and masking this is possible in Paint Shop Pro.
PaintSHop Pro also has a mode called PhotoBlend which attempts to auto-align multiple images then you get to define which areas of an image to mask out and which to bring in.
I did a quick look through Youtube and found this video that uses PSPX6 Photo Blend to do the multiplicity effect - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rFfxB-HJIaM

Re: Is this function available in PSP X6?
The short and fast answer is yes, you can do it in PSP too, using layers, layer masks and all the other tools.
Search for "understanding layers" in the PSP Help to start with.
You can google 'video psp layers' for instruction videos. Maybe one of the regulars here can point you to good sources.
You'll find the menu options under 'Layers' handy, and don't forget to View/Palettes/Layers (shortcut = F8).
Have fun, and if you run into problems or questions there's always someone here ready to help.
Edit: LeviFiction beat me at typing again. I told ya there's always someone ready to help

I hope this is what you are trying to do.

The step processes I used to get that are shown in this screen shot. I used object extractor Image > Object extractor and placement dots in the diagonal corners to get positioning. The red corner placment dots can be erased with the eraser tool . The camera was placed on a tripod to get the images with minimal camera movement.
