I'm using VideoStudio 6 Ultimate.
In the program I'm missing the Audio filter link.
The link is set in grey and doesn't react.
The other audio controls are working well.

Hi
welcome to the forums
What type of audio files are you using, the clips have to be audio, if you use Split Audio the clip is basically a video file.
Try Mov , MP3, Mpeg4 audio, wma.

Re: Missing audiofilter link
When I import a random music file (in MP3 format) the audio filter works.
Bud when I split a video file (by using the Split audio command ) in a video file and a separate audiofile, the audiofile appears in a m2ts format on the
music track.
When trying to use the audiofilter the icon is grey and doesn't work .
The general idea is that I can adjust the audio parameters in a video file by using the audio filters.

Re: Missing audiofilter link
As Trevor explained in his post above you cannot use the audio filter on a "Split Audio" because VideoStudio does not actually split the audio - although a block appears in the audio track it is still an integral part of the video.
To adjust the sound of a video you need to create a new sound file from the video - put that in the audio track and mute the original video sound - when you then select the sound block you will be able to use the audio filter.
to create a sound file from a video - put the video in the video track and go to "Share >> Create sound file" and fill in the "save" details and create a .wav file.

Re: Missing audiofilter link
I tried your proposal on 1 videoclip and there I could create a Sound File by using the command Share- Create Sound file and than use the audiofilter.
Now I have a video clip on the the timeline of more than 1 hour.
When I tried to addapt the sound in a particular videoclip, and than use the command- Share-Create sound file, it automatlicy selects the whole videoclip of 1 hour instead the one clip that I want to change.
What am I doing wrong ?

Re: Missing audiofilter link
Hi
The create sound file option creates a file for the entire project.
You can however set a project range, this is indicated by an orange bar at the top of the timeline.
View this page for more info http://lata.me.uk/corel/bluebar/blue_bar.htm
Scroll down the page a little.
How
Set the curser at the start position
Press the left hand square bracket adjacent to the scissors (mark-in F3)
Place curser in end position
Press right Square Bracket (Mark-out F4)
The orange line will indicate your selection
Share Create sound file – Options – tick Preview Range
When complete reset Preview Range by moving curser Home and end pressing the appropriate bracket
Sorry but a little difficult to explain, but gets easier with use.

Re: Missing audiofilter link
if you only want a small section of the soundtrack as an audio file you have to tell VideoStudio which part as follows
move the timeline cursor to the point you want the sound file to start - press F3 - an orange line appears above the timeline
move the cursor to the point you want the file to end and press F4 - the orange line is cut off
now go via Share >> create sound file and in the dialogue window look bottom right and under the OK and Cancel buttons click on 'Options'
in the small dialogue window click to put the dot in "Preview range" button then click OK and continue as before but this time your sound file will only be the part you selected.
You must now clear the selection or else your project will only play that section - if you look immediately under the preview window you will see a white line with two orange markers under it - using your mouse slide the left one to the left end and the right one to the right end and the orange line over the timeline should vanish
