Hello Everyone
I have been using Videostudio Pro X2 with windows XP and had no problems, just got a new PC running Windows 7 Ultimate (64 bit) and got videostudio pro x6 but I cannot capture using fire wire, the picture is very pixelated and not clear.
I have tried several different camcorders inc Sony & Canon but get the same results
Can anybody shed any light for me.
Thanks
Dave

Re: problems with capture
Windows 7 apparently introduced a new Firewire driver which many users (including me) cannot use. We have had to roll back the driver to what Microsoft apparently consider to be a "legacy" driver. Have a look at this recent thread which deals with the same problem: http://forum.corel.com/EN/viewtopic.php ... 16#p283316
And also try out the small freeware program mentioned there: WinDV (or if you are capturing HDV -- HDVSplit, which is what I use for my high def HDV video captures).
