When I insert text with a border (Stroke width not 0), the Line Style keeps changing to Spikes. It's difficult to see without zooming way in, but makes the characters look fuzzier. This has been happening for a very long time -- I've changed it back to Normal over a hundred times no exaggeration. Then one day I'll zoom way in on some text and notice that it's reverted to Spikes again.
Is there a "default" someplace that I can set so this doesn't happen anymore?
The default Line Style for text apparently changed to Spikes

What version of PSP are referring to?
How thick is the border you are applying?
By default PSP is set at solid Line Style.

Re: The default Line Style for text apparently changed to Sp
I'm using PSP X4. I would hope Solid is the default and in any case, I always assume it is. But then, as I said, it switches to Spike -- which is NEVER what I want, I think it's fuzzy and ugly. But it looks more-or-less like what I want if I'm zoomed out, so I get tricked.
If I try to save the Text Tool settings as a preset, PSP asks for a file name. If I click "Options>>>" in the pop-up, it lists all the settings. They all seem correct, but the one for Line Style is blank. This is, for instance, even when I just set it to Solid. That seems weird to me. But I have no idea where it's reading this information from or how to change it.
Any ideas?
