I've recently reinstalled Windows 7 Pro (64 bit). I've then installed PSP X6 successfully. But, when I try to install any of the plugins or accessories that come with PSP X6 Ultimate edition I get the error message "Error 2343. Specified path is empty." and then the installation program finishes without installing the plugin. Does anyone know how to get around this error? I've installed PSP X6 to the default directories on C: drive. On my previous installation these plugins all installed with no problems.
Thanks.

Re: Problem Installing Plugins
I am having the same problem installing PSP X5 on a win7 pro machine....can't even install the X7 trial version.
Dell cannot figure out why it won't install either...
I am afraid to buy a new version because I cannot install the trial...

You have not identified the plugin.. Is it the KPT filters that come with that version of PSP?
I suspect that the versions of KPT may have version specific installation paths
ie. when in stalling it looks for a pathe to a folder to place the KPT folder in and this can vary from each version.
I checked my versions of the same program in X4-X7 and found the following
KPT installation file size in KB and their name:
X4 - 79480 PSPX4_KPT.exe - 81 387 392 bytes
X5 - 81859 Corel_KPT.exe - 83 823 352
X6 - 83700 Corel_KPT.exe - 85 708 552
X7 - 83823 PSPX7_Corel_KPT.exe - 85 834 664
I logged into the Corel site from the download files section downloaded the KPT again
This version was:
83692 Corel_KPT.exe - 85 699 664 bytes
Once installed I checked the path to the KPT Folder (right click the installed folder and Properties)
They were in order X4 - X7
C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel PaintShop Pro X4\Languages\EN\PlugIns
C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel PaintShop Pro X5\PlugIns\EN
C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel PaintShop Pro X6\PlugIns\EN
C:\Program Files\Corel\Corel PaintShop Pro X7\PlugIns\EN
As you can see there is a different path for each version so may be why you are getting a "Specified path is empty error."
I also went to each of the program files and removed the KPT folder and stored them in a desktop folder. I then installed the new downloaded version where it now had a choice to install in X4, X5, X6 or X7.
It installed in the X6 folder.
Leaves me puzzled as well all these versions . But if you have the installed plugin in any plugin folder it can be transferred to any PSP version that uses Plugins. I have KPT and Nik operating in PSP8.
