Problem Importing Still Images to Video Studio Pro X6

Post by rew213 »

When I try to import any still image I get the following message: "These files can not be added to this project. These files may be of unknown file format, the computer does not have enough memory or the file is copyright protected". The file is not added to the project.
None of these conditions exist.
Thanks for any help

Two causes have been found in the past for this error and you might like to try them first.

!. update your Graphics card driver - outdated drivers can cause this problem

2. the device which created your images (camera etc.) has written EXIF data in the image file which VideoStudio does not recognise - usually just opening the image in a photo programme (PSP, Photoshop, etc) and saving it again will remove the unrecognised data and allow it to import in VideoStudio.

Hi

For ( 1 ) do you have problems using the images from the library?

How are you trying to insert images, Right click the timeline and choose Insert Photo.

For (2 )
More info on the graphics problem can be found here.

It was however with an earlier version of Video Studio but may affect all versions??

I have to say that not many have suffered but most seem to be the lenovo laptop Windows 7 64 bit
Can you update your profile to include your PC spec which will show to the right of your post.
