Program crashes when burning joined video clips

I can burn single video (MPEG4 SHQ) clips and multiple clips to DVD, but when I join the clips prior to burning the final stage of the process crashes with the message "Ulead DVD MovieFactory has encountered a problem and needs to close." Any ideas? I am running XP and the s/w was bundled with a Sanyo Xacti camera.
