I have been a PSP avid user since the original release and I doubt I will ever change to anything else. I just recently added a new drawing tablet to be able to broaden my options in PSP. Up until now I just fiddled around with pictures or photos that I have taken (Semi-pro Photographer) and now that I am looking into making it a career, I want to sign my pictures. Does anyone know what the best way to get a handwritten signature onto a picture using the drawing tablet?
The tablet i have is a:

Re: Drawing Tablets & PSP X5
I use a basic Wacom tablet, have had it for a year and use it regularly. In spite of the fact that using the stylus is superior to using a mouse, I think it would be very difficult to obtain a signature using the tablet that you would be happy with. Just tried it and far from satisfactory. If you do try it, set the tablet for pen rather than mouse mode.
For what you want, I would do a signature on paper and then scan it as a pdf. You can play around with various pens and inks to see what scans best. Open the pdf in PSP, isolate the signature (select background, delete) and save the result as a png file. I've learned on this site that png files retain transparent backgrounds. You can then use this image as a layer with any picture.
You can also go to Image/Watermark and create a watermark. You can probably use the png file but I have no experience with that so cannot comment further.

Re: Drawing Tablets & PSP X5
I have a Wacom. I gave up on trying to get a good signature. I also signed a piece of paper and scanned it. Saved as a tiff. Removed the background. Now I have a signature with a transparent background that I simply paste as a new layer.
