Burned DVD on other computers comes up with a black screen

I burned a DVD (with both .avi, .mpg, and picture slideshows) and it works fine on both my home DVD player (a samsung) and my home computer that has Ulead Movie Factory 4.0 on it. But any other computer I try to play it on comes up with a black screen.

I assume I need a special codec for those computers, but I can't figure out what codec it is I have on my home computer that I need to put on the other computers.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
