PSP X6-64 bit, i can't open or save as .wpg?

Although that's a format normally associated with Word Perfect -- which is of course a Corel product -- and should notionally be supported by other Corel applications such as PSP, when I look through all the formats that the current version of PSP X6 64 bit can handle, .wpg is not amongst them. It is, however, listed in the 32 bit version, as well as in X5 (and I assume earlier versions). So it appears Corel took the decision to drop it from the 64 bit version of X6 for some reason which I personally cannot explain apart from it being somehow incompatible with 64 bit.

Have you installed the 32 bit version of X6? You can install both versions on the same computer. Apart from that, I understand that freeware programs like Inkscape and Perfectspot can convert .wpg files to other formats.

It's possible they have a special converter for wpg provided by Corel that is only a 32-bit plugin at this point in time. Some formats are done like that. External plugins or engines that are included with PSP. But their ability to use them is based on what the developers have provided.

32 bit version crashes when trying to open wpg graphics
i find it amazing that both programs are Corel but can't work together
i have used WP since the 70's and this really affects me
