I tried to edit the .mov files but that kind of made things...worse? I can open and edit them, but the editing is choppy as all get out, even worse than this time last year when I first joined the forums with issues of my editing being really choppy. Back then it was the fact I had a 1.6Ghz Dual Core processor or something along those lines. Normally editing now is just fine as I have a new motherboard and processor (AMD FX 8320), but after renaming an .mp4 to .mov it's really choppy. Even worse, the video seems to get way ahead of the audio, like a horrible desynch, but playing the video in Windows Media Player works just fine, no desynch.
Believe me when I say I appreciate any and all advice I've received on here. I'm starting to think a Windows reinstall might be the best option. The only reason I hate doing that is because every time I reinstall Windows for one reason or another I have to reset all of my file/folder permissions and that's a pain in the rear for some reason. Still, I think that's what it's coming down to.
EDIT: For what it's worth I've uploaded the Dump File to SkyDrive (http://sdrv.ms/LTeiPR). I've done everything I can think of to open it. No software I download will open it and the Windows SDK/Debugging Tools/whatever won't properly install for some reason. I hate to have to reinstall Windows but I think I'm pretty much out of options.

So...um...interesting development. I Uninstalled Corel again...which was a pain as for some reason the installer didn't want to run correctly through Control Panel so I had to manually delete everything, ran a few scans, ran CCleaner a few times to make sure there were no registry errors, reinstalled Corel, and NOW it works just fine. I'm not sure what had happened, but I'm making a restore point now just in case something goes wrong again. Thanks again for the help and suggestions. Hopefully it stays working this time (for the record, I had tried to uninstall/reinstall Corel once before last week, but maybe it was because I cleaned up the registry multiple times afterwards that it caught something this time it didn't catch last time).

Hi
Good news…….
Thanks for the update, it was certainly a mystery as you had tried many options including re-installing and did not cure the problem.
I don’t know if you followed these instructions when uninstalling…but for future reference...
Manually Removing Corel VideoStudio Pro X5
Video Studio 5 is provided with QuickTime 7.5.5, if you have other Mov issues make sure QT has not auto updated and that you are still running 7.5.5
Mind you Uninstall X5 and Quicktime, then install X5 should also install QT 7.5.5
Dump Files
These can only be read by Corel developers, unless you know how to read them, certainly nobody here can, so they need to go to Corel.
