It means that VideoStudio has created a smart proxy file for the clip which is a means of allowing much quicker editing.
And it hasn't been Ulead for a very long time - it is now Corel VideoStudio

Hi
and welcome to the forums
That icon indicates that a Smart Proxy file has been created for that clip.
I guess your clip is a High definition video

You have not filled in your Profile with your computer specifications. However, SmartProxy is useful if your computer is not particularly powerful. Your GoPro footage is of course high definition mpeg-4, and if your computer is not a powerful one, it could be a bit slow in editing such footage. SmartProxy creates a standard definition copy or "proxy" of the high def original. You do your editing on this proxy video, which will react much more quickly during editing, then when satisfied, the edits are applied back to the original.
If you consider your computer is powerful enough, then you can disable SmartProxy for future projects in Settings.
