Unspecified error when loading a video clip

I'm trying to edit some videos for a client. When I attempt to load a video clip from a memory chip or from HD after coping from the chip. VideoStudio crashes with an unspecified error please send dump file to corel support. I've tried several clips and I know they work on another PC with VideoStudio installed on it (I don't have access to that PC) Any ideas would be appreciated. It is an AVCHD video file.
