PSP X6, SP1, Win 8.1 Pro; won't install KPT

I'm running Windoze 8.1 Pro on a pretty powerful box (dual hex-core processors, 64 gig ram, etc) and PSP X6, SP1. I've downloaded Corel_KPT.exe and tried to install it. I get a message that sez I have to install PSP before installing KPT. Well, that ain't right. PSP's already installed. The only thing I can think of is that I don't install application programs on my C: drive, since it's a 120gig SSD. All applications are on an HDD reserved for that purpose.

I've tried restarting PSP, no help. The only reason I ended up with it is that the "Free Membership" dialog would hang up and require killing PSP from the Task Manager. The 2nd time I'd bring PSP up, it would work properly...although extremely slowly (I'm on a fiber-optic 2 mb connection). While activating that "feature" seems to have helped the startup, I still can't install KPT.

I may be wrong, but my understanding is that the KPT filters are 32 bit, and as such would not function on a 64 bit program like PSP -- that is, if you installed the 64 bit version of PSP. You could always install the 32 bit version, which will sit beside the 64 bit version, and KPT should install on that.

Ken is correct. I can confirm the KPT filters only show up in the 32 bit version; not the 64 bit version.
