Hi,
Having recently upgraded from VS 11+ to VS Pro x6, and now from Win XP (32-bit) to Win 7 (64-bit) on a 6-core cpu (AMD FX-6300) PC, I'm a bit disappointed to find that (still) only 32-bit vfw codecs are supported. Is there any prospect of support for 64-bit vfw codecs?
Thanks.

Re: Support for 64-bit vfw codecs
Since X6 is only a 32 bit program, I am not sure that 64 bit codecs would be of much use to it...

And presumably the prospect of a 64-bit version of VS would be non existent ?

Re: Support for 64-bit vfw codecs
Most software programmes are now being issued as 64 bit versions - the last version of Paint Shop Pro had a 64 bit version so Corel is obviously aware of the need for 64 bit versions so just because there isn't a 64 bit version of VideoStudio now does not mean that the possibility is non-existent.

Re: Support for 64-bit vfw codecs
Thanks, that's encouraging.
Main reason I ask is that there are a couple of lossless vfw codecs I am looking at as intermediate formats for frame-accurate editing of HD which have 32-bit and 64-bit variants. In both cases, the 64-bit version is significantly more efficient. Still, the 32-bit version of one of them is fast enough for now with multi-core support.
